Recession Depression

Glad somebody finally wrote this article. I've been feeling the drastic decrease in business and tips at my restaurant job for months. Maybe this will finally convince my payroll manager to stop auto-claiming 19% for me...

Poor Barack Obama. We finally have exactly what we wanted in a President Elect, and here he is stuck in the shitstorm Bush has created. With this economy, this war, this level of national insecurity, how can anyone, even Barack (whom I have supreme faith in), fix things in time to avoid the scrutiny of those who would rather have died that elect this man? Barack won, but almost half the country is just waiting for him to make the wrong move. They're living for that "I told you so" moment they believe is lurking just around the corner.

I'm pretty sure the world is in the most unstable state of my lifetime. But if anyone can pull this off, it's got to be Obama. Honesty goes a long way with me, and that's something Obama seems to believe in.

So basically- we're totally screwed. On the plus side though- I just got gas for $1.71/gallon. And with the holidays looming, I'm getting the most ridiculous offers in my inbox. Here's a sample from this morning:

Loehmann's: 15% off everything in store, plsu 30% off all clearance.

And my personal fave of the season- though I got this one last week:
Calvin Klein Outlet Stores: 50-70% off everything, plus an extra 15% off any purchase over $100.
