Tonight, on the eve of the presidential inauguration, Countdown with Keith Olbermann broadcast from Washington D.C.
Keith led off with some breaking news- VP Dick Cheney threw out his back while moving boxes out of the White House today. He will appear in a wheelchair tomorrow.
Nice to see Cheney is actually human.
Then, while taping an appearance for Oprah, Jill Biden apparently let slip that Joe had the choice to be Secretary of State OR Vice President. Jill said she told Joe to take the VP position because he'd be able to be around more.
Oops.
Obama will keep the infamous Oval Office rug picked out and/or designed by Laura Bush. Ugh.
Bush's final approval rating: 22%.
And finally: Olbermann lays the smackdown with a special comment pointing out Bush's unofficial confession to illegal torture, and asks Obama to prosecute Bush, and his thugs.
Oh Keith. I freaking love you (and your show).
